Useful planning and timetable systems for travelling in Japan are provided by Jorudan or Hyperdia.

International Flights to Tokyo

Tokyo has two International airports. The majority of flights use Narita airport, but a growing number use Haneda airport.

Arriving at Narita Airport's international terminal

If you are travelling to Tsuruoka the same day via Haneda airport we recommend the following routes:

The easiest way is to take the Limousine bus from Narita airport to Haneda aiport. Please allow at least 3 hours for transfer. The limousine busfare is 3000. Credit cards are only accepted at the counters not at the automatic vending machines.

OR

There are a limited number of Keikyu or Sky Access direct trains. This takes around 1.5-2h and costs 1,560円-1,740円 depending on the service:

If you plan to travel to Tsuruoka by train or have a stopover in Tokyo please refer to Narita airport's access page.

If you have a stopover in a hotel near Narita airport we recommend you check with your hotel about ground transportation between the hotel and airport, as this is often free.

Arriving at Haneda Airport's international terminal

We recommend you to fly in Haneda Airport directly because the transfer from Narita to Haneda is time-consuming.  To see international flights from/to Haneda Airport, please check this site.

To fly to Shonai airport please transfer to the domestic Terminal 2 using the free shuttle bus.

If you plan to travel to Tsuruoka by train or have a stopover in Tokyo, please refer to Haneda airport's access page.

Domestic Flights To Tsuruoka

There are four scheduled flights (60 min) per day to Shonai airport (SYO) from Haneda airport Terminal 2 with All Nippon Airways (ANA). If you speak with your travel agency or ANA in your home country, then you may be eligible for the discounted domestic fare tickets.

For selected arrival flights only and if you reserve your accommodation through our agent, we will arrange a free conference shuttle bus.

If you arrive outside the operation times of the conference shuttle bus service please use the regular bus service:

  1. Exit left at Shonai Airport
  2. Take the Tsuruoka bound bus (鶴岡)
  3. Alight at (payment due prior to alighting the bus) Tsuruoka Station for the Washington Hotel (Fare 760円) or SMall for the Diaichi Hotel (Fare 760円)

Announcements for the major stops are made in Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean.
